Bio

Born in Snoqualmie, Washington, Robert has always had a heart for music. That started early in life as he was not only influenced initially by Glen Campbell and then Elvis Presley (because his older brother liked Elvis), but also his uncle Dale Scott who had played guitar on the radio in the 60's.

At the age of 13, Robert received his first guitar for Christmas. It was an acoustic guitar and he told his parents that he wanted an electric guitar. Their reply was "if you learn how to play that one, then we will get you an electric guitar next Christmas" So with that promise and the drive and determination to be a guitarist, he did get a Global Les Paul electric guitar the following Christmas.

Robert was learning how to play bass as well and was highly active in high school jazz band, pep band and choir (mainly as a bassist). That is where he started honing his skills as a musician, learning a vast array of different styles of music and not just the Elvis albums he had or the hard rock of AC/DC, Van Halen and KISS records his 3 brothers owned.

As a teenager, he played in a couple of different "garage style" rock bands on bass and guitar, then in his 20's he mainly played bass in country cover bands and also played in church groups as well.

Moving into his 30's Robert was playing guitar, bass and drums and singing in different cover bands as well as composing and recording his own music at home on muti-track recorders and playing all the instruments and playing solo acoustic shows and continues to do so to this day.

 Some highlight performances include:
Opening for Terry Clark at the Yakima Sundome in Yakima, WA in 1996
Opening for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in Ellensburg, WA in 1997 (both on bass with The Willies)
Playing bass in a pickup band for country music Hall of Famer Hank Thompson in 1998

Robert also worked as a session musician on many recording projects at Cascade Studios in Cle Elum, WA from 1994-1998 and also recorded his 2014 release "Acoustic Reflections" there.
